A message from our Worshipful Master,
WBro Ron Oldfield ISM PPJGW (Lincs):
I would like to thank you for visiting our website.
I have the honour to be the present Worshipful Master of this, the Caxton Lodge of Freemasons (our particular lodge dates back to 1880). We are a London Lodge, meeting in the wonderful Freemasons' Hall near Covent Garden, in the building which is known to be the home of English and Welsh Freemasonry.
We have a very diverse lodge in many ways. We have brethren that travel both near and far to be members of Caxton and we also have a membership that spans the age ranges - from their 30s to their 80s. We welcome members from all trades, professions and backgrounds.
Our emphasis is always on fun. I am a firm believer that, as it is a personal expense to come to our meetings, then we should really enjoy what we do. That being said, we do work hard to achieve good ritual that is meaningful and enjoyable for all.
A typical Caxton lodge tends to split into three portions - in the Lodge room, where things are taken seriously and where we work hard, the festive board where the events are always happy and joyous and the pub immediately afterwards, where much socialising takes place of a less formal manner. We often return home from a Lodge-day saying the words "What a lovely day" ... because it always is.
Friends are made at Caxton.
We love to receive Masonic visitors and, as such, if you fancy visiting then please get in touch with our Secretary. You will be made most welcome. Details of our meeting dates, in my year, are noted below.
Yours fraternally
WBro Ron Oldfield ISM PPJGW (Lincs)
